Unless faculty are participating in the CTLD Course Redesign process (in which CTLD Instructional Design staff will assist with remediating materials), faculty are responsible for creating and remediating the content used in their courses. The Instructional 可访问性 Group has online 指南及资源 for faculty to work on new materials and remediate older materials. Additionally, the IAG plans to run more 30-minute 可访问性 Bytes Trainings for Fall 2024.
The IAG is planning on piloting a PDF Remediation service during Fall 2024 in collaboration with the English Department. The IAG hopes to grow and expand this service in the future and is considering other services that will help faculty be proactive with accessibility. Faculty can help by voicing support for these services with chairs, 在教务委员会, and with university leadership.
